Industrial Chemicals are used for a variety of applications in today’s modern world. Sulfolane, or tetrahydrothiophene (C4H8O2S) is a man-made industrial solvent. It is used to purify acidic or sour gas streams by removing sulfur compounds and carbon dioxide to provide gas to meet commercial specifications.
Release agents play an important role in the concrete, paper, plastic and the food processing industry.Zinc Stearate (C18H35O2) is a zinc soap that repels water. It is insoluble in polar solvents such as alcohol and ether but soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons when heated. Its main application areas are the plastics and rubber industry where it is used as a releasing agent and lubricant which can be easily incorporated.Calcium Stearate (C36H70CaO4) on the other hand is used as lubricant, acid scavenger, and release agent in plastic industry. Propionaldehyde (C3H8O) is a colorless to pale yellow liquid, which works an intermediate or processing aid for the chemical industry, for example for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, perfumes and plastics. Morpholine (C4H9NO) is a clear colorless liquid. It is an extremely versatile chemical with many important applications. It is used as an intermediate in the manufacture of rubber chemicals and optical brighteners. It is also used extensively as a corrosion inhibitor in steam boiler systems.
