It is a flammable but stable chemical with a 140 0 F flash point and
is often utilized by chemical industriesin the Middle East for the preparation of other chemicals. 2-Ethylhexylamine
is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents; which is why it may also be
unsuited with halogenated organics, epoxides, anhydries and acid halides as
well. It is sensitive when exposed to the atmosphere for long periods.
